Later, she learned through a news report, that the father had intended to kidnap the child, and when the other man had found this out, a deadly brawl ensued. The other man was killed as was the child, who tragically jumped in front of the gun. The father was later apprehended in Puerto Rico and charged with two counts of murder. The boat washed ashore containing the body of the other man and the child's body was discovered further downstream.

Beginning when he was a young boy, his grandmother, who raised him, noticed some very odd situations occurring with her grandson. He made many startling predictions which she kept careful records of in a journal. Over time, as these predictions proved accurate, she realized that this sensitive young boy possessed some extraordinary gifts that were not to be taken lightly. She worried about his welfare and the way others might treat him if they knew how special he was.
